Twimzi Privacy Policy

Version: 1.2

Status: Published

Effective Date: 23 September 2026

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Twimzi collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, and otherwise processes personal data when you use the Twimzi website, mobile applications, business services, messaging, listings, search, posts, offers, and related Platform features.

Twimzi is a brand and product operated by Fateh Globalink. Twimzi is designed to connect customers and businesses and to provide local business discovery and communication tools.

The categories of personal data processed depend on the features you use and the permissions, information, and content you provide.

This Policy is intended to provide clear information about Twimzi's current data practices. Where applicable law provides additional mandatory rights or obligations, those requirements apply.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on your use of the Platform, Twimzi may process:

Account information

Name, email address, phone number, login identifiers, profile information, account status, preferences, authentication-related information, and information needed to maintain account security.

Business information

Business name, business category, address or service area, contact details, operating hours, business description, photographs, documents, staff information, products, services, offers, posts, and verification information.

Location information

Approximate or precise location may be processed where you grant the relevant permission or provide location information for features such as local discovery, maps, business search, navigation-related functionality, or address-related services.

Twimzi does not require continuous background location access merely to maintain a standard account unless a specific feature expressly requires it and the relevant permission is requested.

Content and communications

Messages, attachments, images, videos, comments, posts, reactions, reports, support requests, feature requests, and other content you submit or generate through Platform features.

Transaction or service information

Where payment, booking, redemption, subscription, or other commercial features are introduced, Twimzi may process information necessary to administer those services. Payment credentials may be processed by authorised payment providers rather than stored directly by Twimzi where applicable.

Device and technical information

IP address, browser or device information, operating system, application version, identifiers, network information, crash information, security logs, timestamps, approximate technical location signals, and similar technical information.

Usage and analytics information

Searches, pages or screens viewed, feature interactions, business interactions, preferences, approximate location signals, performance data, and analytics events.

Twimzi may associate technical and usage information with an account where reasonably necessary for security, service operation, analytics, fraud prevention, troubleshooting, or other purposes described in this Policy.

3. Google Sign-In and Google user data

When you choose to sign in to Twimzi using Google, Twimzi receives the basic account information made available through Google Sign-In, which may include your name, email address, profile information, and profile picture where provided by Google.

Twimzi uses Google user data to authenticate your account, create or maintain your Twimzi profile, provide account access, and support the features you request.

Twimzi does not sell Google user data or use it for targeted advertising. Twimzi does not use Google user data for creditworthiness, lending, data-broker activities, or unrelated advertising purposes. Twimzi does not use Google user data to train generalized or non-personalised artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.

Google user data may be stored and processed through Twimzi's authentication and application infrastructure, including authorised service providers used to operate Twimzi. Twimzi shares such data only when necessary to provide or secure Twimzi functionality, comply with applicable law, protect users and the Platform, or as otherwise disclosed in this Policy.

Twimzi requests only the Google OAuth permissions necessary for the Google Sign-In functionality currently provided. Twimzi does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Contacts, Calendar, or other Google APIs unless a future feature specifically requires such access and the applicable permission is separately disclosed and requested.

4. How we use personal data

Twimzi may process personal data to:

  • create and manage accounts;
  • provide business discovery, search, listing, communication, posts, offers, and related services;
  • authenticate users and secure accounts;
  • verify businesses and prevent fraud or abuse;
  • deliver notifications and service communications;
  • provide requested location, map, search, and discovery features;
  • personalise and improve Platform functionality;
  • measure performance and diagnose crashes or technical problems;
  • moderate content and enforce Platform policies;
  • respond to support requests and grievances;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, spam, and misuse;
  • maintain records and meet applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting, and compliance requirements;
  • respond to lawful requests from authorities;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
  • perform other purposes disclosed at the time information is collected or otherwise permitted by applicable law.
  • Twimzi seeks to limit processing to information reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and feature.

    5. Consent, lawful processing and permissions

    Twimzi processes personal data on the basis permitted by applicable law, including consent where consent is required, and other lawful grounds or permitted uses recognised by applicable law.

    Where consent is requested, Twimzi will seek consent in a clear manner appropriate to the relevant processing and will provide information about the purpose of the processing.

    Where applicable law gives you a right to withdraw consent, you may withdraw it through the available mechanism or by contacting Twimzi. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawfully carried out before withdrawal and does not prevent processing that remains permitted or required by law.

    Where a feature requires device permission, such as location, camera, microphone, notifications, contacts, or media access, the Platform will request the relevant permission through the operating system or applicable interface. You can manage many device permissions through your device settings.

    6. Public and business-facing information

    Information intentionally published by a business or user for public discovery may be visible to other Platform users and, depending on the feature, may be accessible through public web pages, search engines, previews, links, or other public interfaces.

    Examples may include business names, business addresses or service areas, business contact details, operating hours, products, services, offers, posts, photographs, and other information that a user intentionally publishes publicly.

    Users should not publish sensitive personal information in public profiles, posts, listings, comments, offers, or other publicly accessible areas.

    7. Messaging and communications

    Twimzi provides communication between customers and businesses and between businesses. Customer-to-customer direct messaging is not part of the intended Platform model.

    Twimzi may process message content, attachments, participant information, timestamps, delivery information, device information, and other message metadata as necessary to provide messaging, prevent spam and abuse, investigate reports, protect users, maintain security, troubleshoot the service, enforce Platform policies, and comply with law.

    Twimzi may use automated systems and authorised personnel for security, moderation, abuse detection, support, and legal compliance, subject to applicable law and appropriate access controls.

    8. Sharing of personal data

    Twimzi may disclose personal data to:

  • businesses or users where disclosure is necessary for a feature you intentionally use;
  • service providers and data processors that support hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, notifications, security, communications, maps, customer support, or other Platform operations;
  • payment, booking, delivery, or other providers when relevant features are used;
  • professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
  • regulators, courts, law-enforcement agencies, the Data Protection Board of India, or other authorities where required or permitted by applicable law; and
  • a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of relevant assets, subject to applicable law.
  • Twimzi does not sell user personal data to third parties as a standalone product for unrelated purposes.

    Service providers may process personal data only as necessary for the services they provide to Twimzi and subject to appropriate contractual, technical, or organisational controls as applicable.

    9. International processing and transfers

    Some service providers or infrastructure used by Twimzi may process information outside India or outside your home jurisdiction.

    Where personal data is processed or transferred across borders, Twimzi will comply with applicable Indian law and any applicable restrictions, directions, or safeguards governing such processing or transfer.

    10. Data retention

    Twimzi retains personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by applicable law.

    Retention periods may vary according to the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, account status, security and fraud requirements, dispute resolution, legal obligations, tax or accounting requirements, and other lawful needs.

    When personal data is no longer required for a lawful purpose, Twimzi will delete, anonymise, or otherwise dispose of it as required or permitted by applicable law and its Data Deletion & Retention Policy.

    Deletion of an account does not necessarily require immediate destruction of information held in backups, security records, audit records, legal records, or other systems where continued retention is required or reasonably necessary for a lawful purpose.

    11. Security

    Twimzi uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, misuse, alteration, disclosure, loss, destruction, and other security risks.

    Security measures may include access controls, authentication controls, encryption or secure transmission where appropriate, logging, monitoring, backups, vulnerability management, security reviews, and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and risks involved.

    No internet service or information system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Twimzi may investigate security incidents and take corrective measures and provide notifications where required by applicable law.

    12. Your rights and choices

    Subject to applicable law, you may have rights relating to:

  • access to information about your personal data and its processing;
  • correction or updating of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • deletion or erasure where applicable;
  • withdrawal of consent where processing is based on consent;
  • grievance redressal;
  • nomination or other rights provided under applicable data-protection law; and

    13. Account deletion

    You may request deletion of your Twimzi account through the available account or support mechanism.

    Twimzi will process deletion requests in accordance with applicable law and its Data Deletion & Retention Policy.

    Deletion may result in loss of access to account features, business profiles, content, saved information, conversations, or other Platform functionality associated with the account.

    Some information may remain temporarily in backups, security records, audit records, legal records, or other systems until the applicable retention period expires or another lawful basis for retention ends.

    14. Children

    Twimzi's Terms of Service require users to be at least 18 years old unless a different minimum age is required by applicable law for a particular feature or service.

    Twimzi does not knowingly permit persons under 18 to create or operate ordinary Twimzi accounts.

    If Twimzi becomes aware that personal data has been collected from a person under 18 in circumstances where such processing is not permitted, Twimzi may restrict or delete the account or data and take other steps required or permitted by applicable law.

    Where applicable law requires verifiable parental or guardian consent or imposes additional restrictions on processing children's data, Twimzi will comply with those requirements.

    15. Cookies and similar technologies

    Twimzi may use cookies, local storage, software development kits (SDKs), pixels, analytics technologies, and similar mechanisms to:

    16. Analytics, crash reporting and notifications

    Twimzi may use analytics, crash-reporting, performance-monitoring, and push-notification services to operate and improve the Platform.

    These services may process technical identifiers, device information, application information, usage events, crash information, notification tokens, and related data necessary for their functions.

    Twimzi will configure and use such services according to applicable law, contractual requirements, and the purposes disclosed through the Platform.

    17. Third-party services

    The Platform may use third-party services such as hosting, authentication, analytics, crash reporting, push notifications, maps, storage, communications, payment, booking, or delivery services.

    Third-party providers may process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Where Twimzi controls the processing relationship, Twimzi remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law.

    Third-party websites, applications, payment pages, or services accessed through Twimzi may have separate privacy practices.

    18. Business listings and information provided by businesses

    Business users are responsible for ensuring that personal data, employee information, customer information, photographs, documents, and other information they submit to Twimzi is collected and shared lawfully.

    Businesses must not upload or publish another person's personal information without an appropriate lawful basis or authorisation.

    Twimzi may process business information and verification documents to operate business profiles, perform verification, prevent fraud, provide discovery features, respond to reports, and enforce Platform policies.

    19. Data processors and service providers

    Twimzi may engage service providers to process personal data on its behalf. Depending on the Platform architecture and features, these may include providers for:

  • cloud infrastructure and databases;

    Twimzi may preserve, access, use, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, court orders, lawful government requests, regulatory requirements, fraud investigations, security incidents, protection of users or the Platform, or establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.

    Twimzi will seek to limit such disclosures to what is legally required or otherwise permitted.

    21. Changes to this Policy

    Twimzi may update this Privacy Policy when its services, data practices, security measures, technology, or legal obligations change.
